The orange Seiko Samurai SBDA005
This model is made in titanium and with the rubber strap it
feels very light at the wrist. The weight is only 85 grams.
Here it is with the orginal packing.
Even the dial says titanium and the black painted hands are real fat.
The logo is at the end of the strap too.
Itīs a diver so itīs made to be in water too.
Maybe we should take a look inside.
A funny thing is there is a 7S25A movement inside the titanium
Samurai and in the SS Samurai so is there a 7S35A movement.
The SS Samurai have a nicer looking rotor too.
Here is a pic from the SS version, the 7S35A movement
have 2 more jewels. The difference is a bridge at the 7S35A
movement called "The lower bridge for third wheel and pinion."
The 2 extra jewels is mounted at the bridge and this little extra
thing will make the 7S35A a little better and more accurate.
Thanks for the info Adriano and for you that will read the article
Adriano have made, please clck at the link.
Back to the 7S25A movement again.
This is not bad either.
I believe I have to run over to my watchmaker so he
can help me to get this one a little personal.
So here is the last pic before the makeover.
So I have to make sure the watchmaker is dressed correct
for this mission.
So he start to pull out the movement from the case.
Here is the stripped case.
Then he will pull off the hands.
Here he use a special tool for the work.
So now the hands are history on this watch.
And new ones will be installed.
Nice but odd I guess.
And the rest of the hands.
A sneakpreview straight through the case.
A fresh o-ring.
And the backcase back on.
Finally the strap.
So here is the final result, some will hate it and some will love it.
I really like how it come out.
I hope you enjoy the tour.
